Examination (Swedish below)

Minimum requirements for passing:

· Participation in the compulsory seminars and completing the preparatory work (hand-in problems) in a satisfactory way, meaning obtaining at least half the maximum number of points for each set (normally consisting of three problems, each giving 4 points). If the total number of obtained points of all problem sets is greater than 2/3 of the maximal number, one bonus point is collected, which is added to the points of the exam if that is in the range of grades E to A. (Thus, it cannot be used to pass from the unapproved grade F to the approved grade E.)

· Completing at least 50% of the maximal number of points on the written exam (normally 6 problems of 4 points each, i.e., 24 points)

The final grade will be determined based on the result on the written exam (and potential bonus point);

Preliminary grading scale:

< 50 % F

50 – 59 % E

60 – 69 % D

70 – 79 % C

80 – 89 % B

> 90 % A

Betygskriterier

Miniminivå för godkänd kurs:

· Deltagande i de obligatoriska seminarierna samt ha utfört hemuppgifter (inlämningsuppgifter) på ett godkänt sätt, vilket betyder minst hälften av maximala poängen per omgång (normalt ges tre hemuppgifter à 4 poäng). Om totala poängtalet för alla omgångar hopsummerat är större än 2/3 av det maximala erhålls en bonuspoäng som adderas till skrivningspoängen, om tentamensbetyget hamnar mellan E och A. (Bonuspoängen kan alltså inte användas för att höja ett underkänt F till ett godkänt E.)

· Utförd skriftlig tentamen med minst 50 % av maximal poäng (normalt 6 problem à 4 poäng, dvs 24 poäng)

Slutligt betyg på kursen bestäms av resultatet på den skriftliga tentamen (och eventuell bonuspoäng);

Preliminär betygsskala:
